 Dhwani Trust is a Bangalore-based non-profit organization. It is an Educational Resource Group. We work to enrich the teaching learning process in Kannada-medium schools. We focus on Kannada Language and Social Studies. Language and Humanities play an important role in the formation of the child’s self-esteem and personality. There is a dearth of good teaching learning materials designed for our teachers to give Kannada-medium children a truly educational experience in these subjects.
 The methods and materials that Dhwani creates try to capture the imagination of the child. Once the child feels inspired/interested, then learning starts. Our approach is guided by our observation that, barring a few self-driven students, only a teacher who genuinely enjoys the subject can make children enjoy and learn. Hence we see strengthening teachers as the first step. Dhwani has received excellent feedback and progressively better response from teachers and children. |
